Over the summer of 2020, Blois Construction recruited three undergraduate engineering students from Cal Poly SLO and Cal State Northridge to participate in an internship program at Blois for 12 weeks each. The interns were able to work directly with our Project Management Teams assisting on various jobs including the Sony Studios Infrastructure project in Culver City and the U-21 Trunk Line project near LAX. Tasks that the interns participated in included attending on-site project status meetings, placing material orders, submitting RFIs, assisting with project take-offs and schedules, and attending cost meetings. After being awarded best in class for California, Blois was then chosen as one of three finalists to present to judges in Las Vegas. During the 21st Annual AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards, Blois was honored by receiving 1st place.
