At Blois Construction, our motto is “safety = success” and every action for over 50 years has been accomplished with that motto in mind. With an emphasis on collaborative learning through training and developmental programs, we have created a culture of enthusiastic participation in safety practices that is apparent at all levels. Encouraged to be proactive in problem-solving, our employees are empowered to embrace safe construction procedures and take personal pride in our safety programs. Actions necessary to maintain our safety culture begin on day one to ensure safety is every employee’s responsibility and priority.
Our team exhibits a high level of pride, innovation, and an ability to perform in high hazard environments at a heightened level of hazard awareness. At Blois, we are always looking to help our team members grow, take pride in their work and create a safer work environment inclusive of everyone on our projects.
Our “Stand Tall” safety recognition program was designed to promote professionalism and reward our team members for standing up, speaking out and taking personal responsibility for their safety and the safety of those around them. The program is designed to be proactive by focusing on leading indicators and positive behaviors to avoid incidents before they occur.
We have created proprietary fall protection devices and autonomous vehicle for confined spaces as well as integrating the latest in electronic reporting and communication devices and fleet telematics. Due to the sophistication, innovation, cooperation and training levels of its team members, all employees can and do make critical decisions pushing projects forward in the safest and most productive manner.
Because of these safety innovations and best practices, Blois has been recognized by numerous contractors and associations. Blois was formally recognized for its safety practices and has received multiple awards in its category in AGC’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards both regionally and nationally.
